Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: This cru continues its progression: a prefect definition of Pauillac on the cedary nose, with a precision that is not surprising in a wine from the Lafite stable, but this year the texture is far more refined and less rustic than in the past, with great finesse and nobility to the tannins. This may be the best value wine in Pauillac this vintage. 17/17.5
Michael Schuster: Cedary, raw blackcurrant Cabernet; nicely balanced, supple, fleshy, finely tannic; warm, ripe, even, gently spicy, moderately complex, a nice plenitude. Successful, without being grand. 2013–20. 15.5/16
