Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: With well-married wood, this complete wine allies the body and texture of a classic Pauillac with extremely fine tannins, even if it is still just a notch below Pichon-Baron. The cru has continued its impeccable run of form in recent vintages. 17/17.5
Michael Schuster: Biodynamic viticulture in this mildew-ridden year meant a sacrificially low yield of 28hl/ha. Ripe, oaky fruit to smell; an elegantly balanced, finely tannic middleweight wine, with long, fresh, yet supple, appetizingly juicy fruit and very nice, scented length. A real charmer! 2013–25. 16+
