Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: Well-integrated oak; generous and even slightly thick and astringent tannins; magnificent volume on the palate—very Léognan and very promising! 16.5
Michael Schuster: Closed, but dense and mineral to smell; firm, tannic, concentrated, and vigorous, medium-full wine; abundant juicy ripe fruit here, currently dominated by its structure, and at the moment you taste the winemaking at the expense of the origin, so I’m not sure quite how this will turn out. Good fruit length promises well, but we shall have to see. A muscular interpretation of the year for Graves, which is certainly a rather tough prospect at present. 2018 on? 15.5/16?
