Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: Excellent style, from the classy truffle nose to the subtle, velvety finish. A delicate but forthright wine typical of the St-Emilion plateau. 17.5
Michael Schuster: Raisiny, ripe nose; concentrated, tannic wine with a superripe to overripe flavor; long in the mouth, but the palate mirrors the nose, with its warm, bright, raisin-ripe character leading to a long, almost spirity finish. The fruit origin is clearly good quality, but the style is odd! Raisiny wine from raisiny grapes? Very particular and not to my personal taste. Feels as though it needs a good ten years. 2018–30? 16/16.5?
