Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: Round, refined, and very expansive, floral and as brilliant as ever—we were delighted to find Clinet back on top form again. Complex nose, with that hint of truffles worthy of special occasions; magnificent body, exceptional length. A wine perfectly in tune with itself, destined for greatness. 18

Michael Schuster: Dense, floral, spicy nose; rich, fresh, firmly tannic constitution; rich and sweet, long, black-cherry and mineral flavor, spicy and complex within its muscular tannin frame, appetizingly fresh (as so many are), and with a prolonged finish that mirrors all the fruit and minerality of the palate. Ample and opulent—but will require patience! 2018–30+. 16.5/17.5
