Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: Exquisite violet nose; creamy body; velvet tannins; aristocratic finish with just a hint of dark chocolate; great length. In terms of structure and flavor, probably the most technically accomplished Gazin of the past three decades! 17.5
Michael Schuster: Sweet Merlot fruit, tinged with oak cedar and minerals; very nicely balanced, moderately concentrated, fresh and lightly tannic; ripe, refined, fragrant wine, fleshy without being big, sweetly ripe, long and scented across the palate, with the characteristically refined fruit of so many of the year and good, scented length. A great success for Gazin in its fine, restrained style. 2013–23+. 16/16.5
