BUY THE WINE

Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: A stunningly rich and refined sample, gorgeously lemon-scented with a airy body but oodles of liqueur-like sweetness. A seriously great wine with all the purity, warmth, and length of one of the best five Sauternes of the vintage. 18

Michael Schuster: Greeny gold; apple, melon, guava, and mineral fruit to smell; beautifully balanced, fairly concentrated, with a noticeably vital acidity; long, sweet, racy, and very minerally in flavor, with a vividly lemony, fragrant, botrytis-spiced length. A great success—long, linear, superbly defined. 2015–30. 17.5/18+
