John Gilman: Rabaud-Promis has turned out one of the top wines of the vintage, with its heavy glaze of botrytis beautifully supported by a fresh and vibrant palate. The honeyed nose offers up a complex blend of pineapple, oranges, spring flowers, honeycomb, lovely soil tones, and a deft framing of vanillin oak. On the palate, the wine is deep, full-bodied, and heavily glazed, with a fine core of fruit, lovely focus and balance, and a very long, still quite youthful and dancing finish. Very clean and poised on the back end, and though it will still need four or five years before it really starts to show its secondary layers of complexity, this is a wine that will drink well from an early age. 2014–35. 17/17.5
Michael Schuster: Rich, lively, elegant middleweight; very sweet, fresh, round, succulently juicy, with a clear mineral background, gentle complexity, and good, light length—but lacking any real botrytis concentration. 2014–20+. 16/16.5
