Stephen Brook: Lush, spicy stone-fruit nose; this has real vigor and presence, as well as impressive ripeness. Very ripe indeed, with a touch of sweetness, yet there is bracing and pungent acidity to keep it from being cloying. Powerful and mineral, this is like a punch to the jaw. Right now, the slight sweetness is a bit distracting, but it should diminish with more bottle age. Terrific length. 17.5
Simon Larkin: Rich aromas on the nose; the fruit here is seemingly quite tropical. There is a real zestiness about the style—undoubtedly a big wine. There is a pleasing sense of ripe fruit and poise. A weighty style but with notable citrus zip, this shows a full-natured palate with stony mineral nuances. A powerful Riesling with plenty of direction and vigor. 14.5
Andreas Larsson: Tempting nose, with a good level of ripeness, hints of minerals, stone fruit, and honey. Excellent precision on the palate, invigorating and fresh, with a very long and lingering finish. Still very youthful and unresolved but with fine potential. 17.5
