Michael Schuster: Narrow-rimmed, youthful black red; dense, but closed nose, new oak marked, ripe fruit clearly there, but very unevolved; concentrated, lively, tannic middleweight; at the moment the ripe fruit is rather smothered by the new wood tannin; sweetly ripe black fruit core beneath a sinewy tannic frame, tannic from both the fruit and the new wood; no question about the concentration and intensity of flavour, some question (certainly at the moment) about the overall harmony and drinkability. A strong, backward, tannic St Emilion. Good quality, yes, but quite when it will harmonise,if ever, is difficult to say. Certainly very expensive, on the market, for what it has to offer. Needs at least a decade more in bottle. 2020-35+
