BUY THE WINE

Michael Schuster: Very dark, youthful black red; dense and densely fruited to smell; rich, elegantly balanced, firmly tannic; plenty of matter here, long, even, complex, muscular wine, close knit, backward, tannic, fairly massive St Julien, with excellent, fragrant fruit length; an almost ‘roasted’ character to the fruit, mouthcoating, tenacious, concentrated. First rate long term Leo.B. St Julien in a muscular style, but a complete and harmonious whole. Just needs a decade to come round. 2020-40+
