Alison Buchanan: Deep old gold in color. Very honeyed, warm brioche nose, with an attractive citrus refeshment. Palate is precise, fresh, and focused, while offering an opulence and ripeness that will go beautifully with food. Lovely balance. 17
Stephen Brook: Shows a lot of color for a young Chardonnay. Big, voluptuous nose, with ripe peach and exotic fruit such as mango. Broad, lush, creamy—definitely the riper end of the Russian River spectrum, with perhaps too much weight given the modest acidity. A generous and baggy crowd-pleasing style at the expense of finesse, but reasonably successful within its own terms. 14.5
Oz Clarke: Fairly bright green-gold. Fairly full, mellow style. A little cream and fresh apple fruit. Some slightly green cobnut flesh. Good, quite lean, refreshing, fairly lemony acidity; crisp and cleansing, and it does soften and broaden out at the end. Pretty good, cool, mainstream style, balanced and easy to enjoy. 16.5
