Alex Hunt: Just too flat and oxidized on the nose. Tasting much older that its 12 years, this lacks fruit and energy - 13

Andrew Jefford: Light russet gold. Tangy, creamy, lightly caramel-napped, the apples are all tarte tatin here now. Complex and intriguing, nonetheless, with just the right amount of autumnal melancholy to it. On the palate, it is full and articulate but somehow gives the impression of being fully evolved. It’s rich, vivid, tangy, and long but no longer taut, and you wouldn’t want the flavors to evolve too much further toward that autumnal melancholy, or it might all get a little heavy and soupy. Perfect just now, in sum - 15

Mark Savage: Amber color, notes of leather and tea leaf on nose, a slight oxidation now apparent, leading to some dryness on the finish. Quite austere style now and not at all unpleasant, but it is quite a marked contrast to the previous wine. This may be rather more tired, but it is also more original - 15.5
