James Lawther: Only 8,200 bottles produced due to hail damage (rather than the 35,000 yearly average), each engraved with a number. An exceptional 67 percent Cabernet Franc used in the blend. Deep, dark purple color. Seductive, creamy, dark-fruit and violet nose. Impressively rich and intense. Palate suave and opulent, with the succulent fruit expression of the 2009 vintage. Atypically gourmand at this stage. Nonetheless, firmly structured and endowed with freshness and length. 2015–40. 17.5
