James Lawther: The terroir clearly played its part in this torrid year, the wine still remarkably fresh and balanced. Dark core with a touch of brick at the rim. Lively cherry/raspberry red-fruit aroma. Supple texture, with some Dundeefruitcake richness on the palate, then a twist of acidity on the finish. Tannins firm, even robust, but not dry. Drink to 2020. 17
