BUY THE WINE

James Lawther: Only 60 bottles rather than the usual 135. An exceptional wine. Deep color. Superb nose: rich, intense, and seductive. Creamy dark fruit, with finely integrated mocha notes. Exotic but pure. Refined, velvety texture, the finely worked tannins providing a deceptively firm, long aging structure. Hint of vanilla oak. Balanced but with the acidity more restrained than usual. Drink 2015–40. 18
