Michael Schuster: (bottled 2002) Deepish, bright amber; a most distinctive nose, intense and faintly burned caramel in character, both dense and “long” to smell; beautifully balanced, harmonious, gentle wine; medium-sweet, with a keen defining acidity; none of the “fabled” bitter Terrantez “twist,” but just a hint of astringency behind its subtle, racy, caramel–infused flavor, noticeably dry to finish, and of good rather than great length. Fully ready, but clearly no hurry. 17+
