Michael Schuster: (bottled 1975) Deep amber; intense bouquet of liquid caramel and raisin, very persistent to smell; a beautiful example of mature Malmsey; a rich, sweet, silky-textured wine, intense and concentrated in its sweet, caramelized flavor, with a still wonderfully seductive fruit presence. Very long in the mouth, penetrating, complex, and racy across the palate, and with superb, gentle, smoky length. A terrific combination of aroma and flavor, absolutely harmonious, splendid Malmsey now and for generations probably. One bottle an absolute beauty; one with a touch of maderization. 18.5+
