Michael Schuster: (bottled 2006) Bright, deepish amber; a fine, subtle, fragrant nose of crystallized violets, smoke, lemon zest—lovely; a perfect Bual constitution, rich, medium-sweet and still full of vigor; a long, vital, caramelized sugar flavor, with just a faint volatile warmth; sugar-sweet, still with a fairly incisive acidity for the style, and slightly old-fashioned in that sense. But aromatically complex, long across the palate, long and warm, almost spicy to finish, with the gentle caramel fruit singing through all the way. Beautiful wine—splendid now and for generations to come. 18.5+
