Jesús Barquín: Golden yellow. The nose is both intense and expressive, with a hint of eau de cologne, citrus notes, and Provençal herbs. The palate is a tad hot. This is a big wine that could be greater, save for that extra heat. 87

Andrew Jefford: Another goldilocks. And another straight-up oaky white: frank, friendly, forthright—and very pleasing and satisfying in its own way. On the palate, this is concentrated and full, with plenty of oak to provide the stamp and shout of character which the fruits themselves struggle to do in this place. If you like “classic white Rioja,” here it is. As for the 15% ABV: It doesn’t bother me at all— indeed, I’d say it works well with the lavish oak regime and adds to that gratifying sense of a full plate of wine. 86

Richard Mayson: Mid-straw in color; overtly rich, savory oaky aromas overlying fresh quince and apple fruit; savory and well-integrated oak character on the palate, backed by good, balanced fruit acidity and leading to a long, ripe, savory finish. 92
