Jesús Barquín: Pale gold. Well-integrated nose, not very expressive but with notes of harmoniously balanced fine oak and fruit. 86
Andrew Jefford: Bright gold. We’ve gone back a year to 2013 in the tasting order, yet this smells as if we have gone back two or three: quite overt secondary fruit and a fat and tangy style of aroma. A concentrated, firmly stated wine on the palate, built in the classic mold, with more to recommend it in the mouth than the aromas promised. Structured, dense, well balanced, and long. It’s a shame there isn’t more aromatic charm; had there been, this wine would have scored highly. 85
Richard Mayson: Mid-deep straw; showing maturity on the nose, though with some depth as well; ripe apple and pear character on a pronounced savory/toasty backdrop combined with high acidity on the finish. Has character. 82
