Tim Atkin: Some development. Nice gherkin; freshness, balance, and elegance; smart wine. Lovely elegance and balance on the palate, too. Savory and fresh, lovely acidity and length and complexity, A mature, complex, savory red, fresh acid. 10+ years. 19
Jesús Barquín: Deep cherry, with slightly brickish rim. The maturity impression provided by sight is confirmed by both nose and palate, with roundness and finesse that suggest an excellent drinking moment—though likely this will last a good many years. Meaty, with blackberries, a background of white chocolate that is perfectly integrated, and a fresh, delicious structure. A classic Tempranillo wine at its fleshiest. Excellent, my favorite. 18.5
Alex Hunt: This wine comes across as more “traditional” than many, with a fair bit of oak and a hint of Brett on the nose, but a certain harmony and integration of those features that make it rather appealing. The palate retains an austerity despite the ripeness of underlying fruit. Not the purest style, but with plenty of appeal. 15.5
