BUY THE WINE

Tim Atkin: Gently maturing color. Aromatic, spicy, Christmas-cake nose, possibly with some Cabernet notes. Plush palate with soft tannins, supple and complex. A complex wine that is just beginning to develop secondary characteristics. Nice Ribera freshness and good tannic grip. 5–10 years. 18.5

Jesús Barquín: Medium to deep cherry. A simply correct wine, lacking depth and without complexity or defects. 13

Alex Hunt: Very intense berry-compote nose. Dare I say it—almost New World? On the palate, which is enormously concentrated, this bright juicy fruit sits slightly jarringly alongside the earthy, mineral, savory notes also present. But it’s still a baby, and if harmony comes, it will be terrific. 17
