Michael Schuster: Marked cedary oak over cassis ripe fruit to smell; rich, concentrated, tannic wine, well balanced in a fairly muscular style; sweetly ripe in flavor, long, and close-grained, firm in texture, a slight alcohol warmth and hardness, with good, sweet, oaky length. A complex, complete and powerful expression of fine St-Estèphe in a modern style. Very good in its idiosyncratic way. Will need plenty of time to mellow. 2020–35+. 17.5
