BUY THE WINE

Tim Atkin: Youthful dense purple/crimson. Very aromatic; primary-fruit notes of plum and blackberry, with a little bit of oak. Palate forward, juicy, easy drinking. Not a profound wine by any means, but fresh and full of fruit, with good acidity, medium alcohol, and little oak. 15.5

Jesús Barquín: Medium to deep cherry. Fresh nose of red berries slightly reduced, and also a slight vegetal note. The palate is again fresh, medium-bodied, and with correct fruit-driven finish. 13.5

Alex Hunt: Fresh, vibrant, youthful; not in the least raw on the nose. A lot of berry fruit, with both creamy and mineral undertones. Very typical cooler-style Ribera and incredibly appealing—you really want to dive into it. The palate is tauter, acid still quite prominent, and spicy oak tends to take over the finish. In a year’s time, however, this should make delicious drinking. 15.5
