Tim Atkin: Youthful ruby, garnet. Touch of reduction on the nose. Palate rather alcoholic, bitter and simple. Tannins drying on the finish. Not a success. 10

Jesús Barquín: Medium to deep cherry. Comparatively light, with obvious oak notes, not so much because it is excessive as because the fruit load is on the light side. Correct. 13.5

Alex Hunt: Dense, brooding, compact nose. Still closed, hinting at brambly fruit and cream. Fairly massive on the palate but shaped by well-balanced acidity. Just a touch of overextraction evident on the finish. 16
