BUY THE WINE

Stephen Brook: Medium straw; oak and some sulfur on the nose, so aromatically a bit surly now. Medium-bodied, sleek, and silky; reasonably fresh and lively but rather one-dimensional, with flavors of apricot and caramelized oranges. Lacks a little depth, complexity, and persistence. Undoubtedly attractive but rather superficial. 15.5

Margaret Rand: Bright, smoky palate—slightly reductive? Closed, mineral, very nice texture. A powerful, almost sinewy finish. A wine of great length and concentration; it has closed up but still shows great class. 17.5

Michael Schuster: Lustrous pale mid-gold; fine nose of honey and new oak; very nicely balanced, concentrated, fresh middleweight wine; very sweet, long, and refined and elegant to taste, with a subtle minerality and particularly attractive defining acidity. Very good length, too. Lovely wine. Now to 2025. 17.5
