Essi Avellan: Deep golden color. Pronounced, overt, and noticeably oxidative nose of bruised apple, spice, earth, toast, and honey. Lots of layers and signs of sweet oak. Powerful palate, with the same nuances as on the nose. Juicy, muscular texture and palate, with plenty of intensity and depth. Long-lasting and fresh finish. Starting to drink well, but there is potential for the next 5–10 years due to the intensity and spine. 17.5
Michael Edwards: Mid-yellow gold, ripe yet fresh aromas; well-integrated acidity sustains gently evolved secondary flavors of honey and vanilla and other signs of vinosity. Still has freshness and tension. 17
Tom Stevenson: Great concentration, lovely acids, very fresh yet complex, with slowly evolving citrus and stone fruits. A lot of gravitas. 18.5
