BUY THE WINE

Tim Atkin: Mid-ruby/garnet. Some Brett on the nose, but just about works on the palate. Still smoky; slightly dried out, with a hint of Elastoplast. Not a complex wine. Won’t age. And Brett drying out the finish 10

Nicolas Belfrage: Deep, almost opaque. Tar and plum on nose. Dry and a little lacking in fruit on palate; elegant perhaps but not hedonistic. A little bitter, burned, on finish 14

Bruno Besa: Deep ruby to pink rim. Good, yet fairly simple and green red fruit. Medium body, simple, and a bit volatile 12
