Tim Atkin: Mid-ruby, with a hint of development. Quite closed down on the nose, with some oak. Fresh yet focused on the nose, with attractive red fruits, subtle oak, elegant, mid-weight tannins, and a long, finely judged finish. Aglianico meets Pinot Noir, with subtle redcurrant acidity and good balance 17
Nicolas Belfrage: One of the lighter colors in the flight: still ruby. A noseful of cherries and field flowers, with herbs and spices; oak behind, in its place. Finely tuned wine of parts. Acidity opens out to all parts of the mouth, intensifying fruit. A bright, luminous wine that electrifies the mouth and funnels through a perfectly penetrable ripe tannin barrier to a finish of impressive length. Superior stuff 18
