Tim Atkin: Mid-red/ruby. Very perfumed, modern style and still very primary on the nose. This is a youthful, fruity, clove-scented red, with attractive vanilla oak, notes of orange peel and red cherries, and well-defined tannins. This has the concentration to age 16.5

Nicolas Belfrage: Relatively deep color but bright; still ruby on the rim. Intense black-cherry aromas; mellow, mature dark-cherry-and-vanillacream palate, with nicely balancing acidity and firm but ripe tannins. Good drinking now but has another five to ten years in it. Needs food 16.5
