Nicolas Belfrage: Distinctly deeper color, but with orange hint on rim. Riper more cherry fruit than [Ceretto Barolo Bricco Rocche Brunate] and less pointy acidity; firm tannin. Good wine, with some classy fruit of quality if not entirely of type - 15

Stephen Brook: Opaque plum red. Spicy, tarry nose; has vigor, though there’s a whiff of cooked plums. Rich, broad, juicy, voluptuous, yet backed by firm tannins. The mid-palate is peppery and lively, and the tannins seem integrated. Good concentration and balance, and the finish is long and fresh. Not showing much complexity yet, but this has fine potential and is already approachable - 17

Jancis Robinson: Very dark, blackish crimson. Hardly any development at the rim. Very fresh, appetizing nose. Lots of ripe fruit here, but the overall impression is one of dryness on the finish. Clean, even a little austere. Touch of minerality on the finish. A very slow burner. Drink 2015–22 - 16
