Nicolas Belfrage: Medium depth. Herbal, vegetal aromas, some red-berry fruit. A good dollop of mature sweet fruit on the palate, with a hint of bitterness in the Piedmontese style on the finish. Should develop into a good and characterful bottle with time. Drink from 2017. 16
Bruno Besa: Garnet to tawny rim. Open, slightly volatile nose, with fresh herbs and small red and black fruits. Full body, with huge tannins and slightly green fruit. 14.5
Andrew Jefford: Clear, deep garnet. Aromatically, this wine isn’t a resounding success: tanky, stewy, tomatoey, almost funky. On the palate, its width and depth are adequate, but the fruit quality is far from pristine (though not actually faulty). 11
