Nicolas Belfrage: Medium depth; correct color. A little inexpressive on the nose, but some ripe fruit of type. Quite good fruit, a little diffuse; firm tannic grip, with a touch of bitterness. Not showing fully yet, more correct than enjoyable; tannins outlast fruit on finish. Drink 2014+ - 15
Stephen Brook: Deep brick red. Lean pungent tarry nose, with aromas of tea and petals. Mediumbodied, not that concentrated, a touch slight and innocuous. Has attractive fruit but not much drive or weight. Moderate acidity keeps it fresh, but this doesn’t seem to have the structure for long aging. Soft rather than vibrant finish, despite a whisper of tannin - 14
Jancis Robinson: Mid-rusty rim already. Some really intriguing complexity—undergrowth—on the nose already. Very sweet palate attack then dry and flirtatious. For purists and traditionalists. Quite delicate. Drink 2013–20 - 17
