Nicolas Belfrage: Medium-deep but bright; some orange on rim. Attractive scented nose. Bright raspberry fruit, with floral hints against a tight tannin-acid backdrop. Attractive and reasonably forward but with the possibility of aging well. Drink from 2012 for ten years at least - 16
Stephen Brook: Deep brick red. Sweet plum and creosote nose, yet doesn’t lack freshness. Mediumbodied but has admirable freshness and zip. The tannins are integrated and far from aggressive. Yet there’s something slight about the wine, more like a Roero or Nebbiolo d’Alba. It needs a bit more heft and presence - 14
Jancis Robinson: Just a hint of oak on the nose? Then rather obvious easy sweet jammy fruit. Not difficult to like but not one of the most satisfying. There is a disjunction between the sweetness of the palate attack and the drying tannins on the end. Drink 2015–20 - 14
