Nicolas Belfrage: Good color, but the nose is a bit flat; hints of herbs coming through. Some sweet fruit of quality peeping through the very considerable structure. Good length, serious stuff, but at the moment not particularly together or charming, though with every chance of becoming so. Typical 2008; give it three years plus- 16:

Bruno Besa: Deep garnet to tawny rim. Defined and refined nose of Bing cherries, blood oranges, smoked meat, and hints of truffles. Medium to full body, with copious tannins, well supported by the clean red fruit. Well made but not the most complex of wines- 15.5:

Jancis Robinson: Translucent blackish ruby. Racy and meaty and very savory with some licorice. Dry finish. Powdery tannins. Very correct with real vitality. Drink 2015–23- 17 :
