Nicolas Belfrage: Typical mid-range color. Slightly dumb on nose: hints of herbs. Rather mid-range, too, in terms of palate; has requisites but lacks spark- 14:

Bruno Besa: Deep tawny to orange rim. Elegant, complex nose, with small red fruits, Earl Grey tea, orange marmalade, violets, and hints of cinnamon and cloves. Medium to full body, with restrained complex palate and long, defined, elegant finish. Wonderfully classic Barolo with a long life ahead- 18:

Jancis Robinson: Mid-crimson. Light nose of tea leaves and treacle. Resolved. A comfortable, forward wine with plump fruit more obvious than any tannin or acidity. Very friendly if not exactly challenging. Drink 2013–20- 16 :
