Nicolas Belfrage: Medium depth. Spicy/herby nose, attractive. Quite an attractive sweet fruitiness on the palate, with mellow notes on finish and good length. Wild raspberry? Am I dreaming? But very attractive for drinking now and for a few years- 16:

Bruno Besa: Deep garnet core orange, pink rim. Youthful, intense red-fruit nose with hints of nuts, mint, and red flowers. Medium to full body, slightly jammy red fruit, and fairly simplistic finish for a Barolo- 14:

Jancis Robinson: Dark brownish ruby. High-toned meaty nose. Ripe muscular fruit at first, quite intense. The fruit is so marked that it almost masks the dry tannins, in fact—unusually so. A very opulent, but not too sweet, style of Barolo 2008. Lip-smacking but far from ethereal. Quite full-bodied. Hint of mint. Drink 2015–25. 17
