Nicolas Belfrage: Medium deep. Some vanilla and spice on nose. Wine of some positive features but a little off-balance, with tannins a bit too tough. But fruit is there; goodish length; certainly very correct- 15.:

Bruno Besa: Deep garnet to tawny rim. Open, mature nose of blood oranges, Bing cherries, rose petals, and hints of toasted nuts. Medium to full body, slightly diluted and not very long- 15.5:

Jancis Robinson: Dark blackish ruby. Some oak on the nose—doesn’t immediately smell of Barolo! Sweet and polished and super-smooth. Extremely flattering but not the purest expression. A winemaker’s wine. Difficult to score because you have to admire the artistry. Depends on your notion of the ideal Barolo… Drink 2013–19- 15.:
