Tim Atkin: Mid-ruby/red, with some development at the rim. Smoky, feral, bonfire nose. Lots of sweet oak on the palate, too, with some Cola Cube candy flavors, but also some leafy forest-floor notes. Medium-bodied, good freshness and length 16

Stephen Brook: Deep to very deep red. Bright blueberry and cherry nose, quite lively, with zest and lift. Medium-bodied but quite concentrated, with some discreet oak tannins. Yet there’s something one-dimensional here, and although the attack is attractive, it doesn’t develop on the palate and gently fades away 14.5

Alex Hunt: On the nose, a striking herbaceous presentation, suggesting stems. Good vigorous entry on the palate, too, though the tannins are a little bit chalky and underripe. This is harmonious, sufficiently concentrated, but a bit unyielding. It may be better next year 15
