Alex Hunt: Pale red color. Light strawberry/cherry fruit aromas. Simple, juicy, friendly palate; a little sweet and strawberry-jammy but a nice balance of acidity to fruit- 13

Andrew Jefford: Light, clear red—almost Pinot-like. Warm, sweet, almost candied. Simple, candied fruit. A wine that lacks any of the dimensions and verticality of the Loire Cabernet Francs. Hard to conclude anything other than that the location is too warm and easy for this variety. Toffeed yet dry finish- 10

Simon Larkin: Not opaque in the glass, indeed showing good clarity. The nose signals a fresh, minty dark berry fruit, with a touch of black-fruit pastille. The palate is leafy, with bright berry fruit behind. Plump and juicy; there is a savory, toasty element behind. Simple, straightforward—this is a correct example with modest length- 12
