Alex Hunt: Densely concentrated berry-compote aromas, yet not soupy or confected. There’s a mineral edge that frames the fruit. The palate, too, is very well contained, with notable linearity for Chile. It has a calmly extruded feel, offering length in place of breadth. The tannins are pleasingly grippy; this is an elegant wine with versatile food-matching potential - 16.5

Andrew Jefford: Saturated black-red, even four years later. Exuberant, glass-filling scents, with plenty of sweet fruit; indeed, it takes sweetness out to an almost raisiny edge. The bottle age has brought harmony more than aromatic complexity. On the palate, this is deep, searching, forceful, very concentrated. In fact, on the palate the ripeness seems well achieved; I don’t detect any of the raisining that the aromatic profile hinted at. It’s structured, grand, authoritative. There is an almost explosive fruit concentration here, giving a sensation akin to that of pressing the flesh out of an elderberry or a blackcurrant on the roof of your mouth with your tongue. Fine soft tannins, though the fruit is so intense and lingering that they almost come as an afterthought. Impressive wine that, with fresher and more beguiling aromatic architecture, would have unleashed a very high score. Lovely cassisperfumed aftertaste - 16

Jancis Robinson: Fragrant, appetizing if low-key nose. Very well mannered, with attractive freshness and a hint of mint. Drying finish. Serious wine, brow furrowed. Demure. Well intentioned. Certainly the opposite of flashy. Cool finish. Juicy fruit but slightly timid structure. Drink to 2015 - 16.5
