Alex Hunt: Classic Chilean sweet-blackberry aromas, but presented in an appealingly understated way. There is real freshness and vigor on the palate here—it manages to be brisk rather than light. The moderately long finish is neat if not dramatic, with a nice sense of savory grip - 16

Andrew Jefford: Deep black-red, though not as opaque as some of the other 2008s. The aromas are slightly more leathery and savory than for many of its peers. On the palate, this is deep, forceful, and concentrated, though less texturally rich than some in its vintage group. I sense that it is now on to an aging trajectory, and the flavors are beginning to modulate, though without having done so as yet with any great articulacy; the aftertaste is still that classic black (fruit-gum) pastille. But in the entire southern-hemisphere context, this is still a thorough pure, delicious, and pleasure-bringing wine, with some tannin, without aggressive adjusted acidity, and built on a core of splendidly ripe fruit that in the world context is still rare - 15.5

Jancis Robinson: Dark crimson, with some evolution. Rather more obviously New World Cabernet cassis flavors than any to date. Lightly green veggie/stringy notes. A good attempt but less refined and complex than many. Rather a hot finish. Drink 2013–19 - 16
