Alex Hunt: Developed, quite stewed aromas, with savory interest but not a lot of vigor left. Excellent mouthfeel to begin: a very positive, fruit-laden entry, broad but not sweet. This tapers quickly to a hollow, acid-dominated mid-palate, while the finish is harsh and alcoholic. All a bit brutal - 14

Andrew Jefford: Deep, dark, and dense. Dry, warm, complex: an impressive weave of aromatic notes. Sumptuous and refined; few wines in the Argentinian flight have achieved this level of aromatic complexity. On the palate, this is deep, intense, and searching; less extractive than many of the wines we have tried, with huge concentration that shows no sign (even at seven years old) of easing up and opening out and relaxing. Prominent acidity is behind this. Complete and impressive, though quite hard to drink. Considerable sweetening from oak, so the overall effect is just a little bit lurid - 15

Jancis Robinson: Dark purplish crimson. Very opulent, sweet, rich nose. Quite heavy and syrupy. Really not very appetizing at all. Hot finish. Drink to 2014 - 15.5
