Alex Hunt: Ripe yet fresh black fruit and a lick of vanilla; lovely nose. Firmly structured on the palate, very slightly overextracted but retains a beguiling freshness - 15.5
Andrew Jefford: Saturated dense black-red. Spicy, fragrant, and warm, with a light Darjeeling grassiness to it. Dense, rich, full, textured palate. Classic sweet fruit but backed by a remarkable extractive force. Long, resonant, and gastronomic finish. An outstanding effort here, best drunk in two or three years’ time. I love the contrast between the light, graceful, enticing aromatic profile and the profundity and penetration of the palate - 17
