Alex Hunt: Some sweaty reduction gives a vegetal aroma to otherwise pretty black fruit on the nose. The palate smacks of blackcurrant pastille up-front but turns dry and dusty on the finish. Good raw material here—not sure about the handling - 13.5
Andrew Jefford: Saturated, deep black-red. Sweet, warm, and faintly grassy/catty/keroseney, but not oppressive. The struggle for perfect aromatic ripeness in South America goes on… On the palate, this is weighty, dense, penetrating, and deeply extracted; lots to chew over; lots to think about; but the fruit continues to provide ample chocolaty pleasure in the interim - 16
