Tim Atkin: Very deep color, profound. Really perfumed, aromatic, good crunchy cassis and green-pepper fruit. Lower-alcohol style, nice balance and freshness and length; well framed, complex, zesty, and fresh. Very Loire-like, cool-climate flavors. Really smart, great with food, crunchy and refreshing 17

Jesús Barquín: Deep cherry. Intense and concentrated nose but fresh, struggling again toward the lower limit of ripeness, but clearly riper than the previous wine [the Espadeiro 2009 from the same producer]. Decidedly Galician, with that characteristically refreshing rusticity, only now carefully refined 17

Simon Field: Attractive red-fruit nose, then a poised and refined palate, the gentle spice and black-pepper notes adorning a classically constructed edifice, without too much by way of pretension or oaky interference to undermine adamantine purity of purpose 16
