BUY THE WINE

Tim Atkin: Mid-ruby, with some purple highlights. Tannic, quite extracted, with too much oak. Palate drying a little, with a new note on the finish. Highish acid, drying oak. Not a success. Rasping tannins on the finish 12

Jesús Barquín: Medium-deep cherry. Fresh, Atlantic, savory; an enjoyable wine, well structured, with good texture and acidity 16.5

Simon Field: A slightly burned, peaty nose, with hints of the farmyard. The palate is a little drying and lacks generosity of fruit, the essence of which is unlikely to reveal itself from here on in 14
