Tim Atkin: Mid-straw. Pear-and-honeysuckle nose. A little developed? Fat, slightly bitter, and rather flat. A touch of spice, but the wine seems developed before its time 13

Nicolas Belfrage: 1 = color of water and 9 = deep gold: Col 1.5. Nose fresh and lemon-sherbetty, palate full and lively 16

Alex Hunt: A deep-straw color—surprising for a 2011. Slippery in texture and indistinct in flavor, this lacks both the nerve and the individuality that mark the most successful Soaves. The phenolic impression and the color suggest a fair bit of skin contact, which seems to weigh the wine down, while acidity and freshness of fruit are lacking. This is neither refreshing nor very interesting. NS
