Tim Atkin: Youthful, rich, lots of color. Complex, spicy, savory, multidimensional nose. Lots of volume and flavor, spice and pepper, length, complexity. Needs time. Lovely fresh acidity, good lift and length. Clove and spice and pepper- 18

Alex Hunt: Deep, refined, fairly closed, with serious blackberry and mineral aromas. The palate shows considerable acidity and grip, and while the fruit power is certainly there, it isn’t overt—this needs some time to relax. A tautly impressive wine- 16.5

Anthony Rose: Bright, vivid color; attractively spicy and aromatic, with pungent licorice spice characters; lovely sweetly ripe, opulent dark berry-fruit quality infused with spice and pepper and good savory acidity; finishing with firm tannic grip and good balancing acidity- 17
